GET ON THE ROAD TO SUCCESS WITH THESE 6 EASY FOLLOW UP TIPS.

We always say we want to succeed, but the question is what are we doing to achieve it? In order to be successful, you need to set goals for yourself. Why? Because without it, you lack focus and direction. You can't just say 'I want this or that' and expect things to just fall out of the sky. You need to take action, and you need to determine what you want to accomplish. So, really, the road to your success begins once you set your goals.

First things first decide:

Think about what you want to do and work towards it. It doesn't really matter what it is, as long as it's something you want to do or achieve. Does it excite or motivate you? It should be something that you want to do for yourself and not for something or someone else.

Write it down:

Once you've decided on your goals, put it in writing. When you write your goals down, a part of your goal is already accomplished. It makes the intangible thoughts in your head real once you can see them on paper. Also, try to be specific. Mention how you will be able to determine once you've reached your goals and when you'd want to achieve it. Describe your goal. For example, say ' I want to plant basil, mint and thyme and make a herb garden in my kitchen by the end of may, rather than 'I want to do some gardening.'

Tell Someone:

Telling someone you know and trust about your goals increases the chance that you'll stick to them. When someone else aside from you knows about your goals, they can check in on your progress from time to time. Find a friend or a mentor who can motivate you and occasionally kick your behind when you're not following through your goals.

Break it down:

If you think your goals are too big to accomplish, break them down into manageable actions. Breaking a goal down helps you be more specific. Also, you're more likely to stay on track towards your bigger goal bu having several smaller goals.

Get excited:

Your goals should motivate and excite you. They should be a source of joy in your life and one of the main reason you get out of bed in the morning. I f your goals don't excite you, you need to start reevaluating them.

Celebrate:

Once you reach a certain goal, take the time to enjoy it and thank those who've helped you accomplish it. Think about what you enjoyed and learned along the way and then begin to set new goals again.
